Javier Vilato, Spanish - French painter and graphic artist, and printer (1921 - 2000).
Lived in Paris during WW2, In 1946 he stays in Paris, but spends the summer months mostly in the Mediterranean. Between 1957 and 1960 he stays in Barcelona and in 1968 paints a 2.4 x 5.5 m large mural in Napoli about the destruction of Pompeii and a relief of 3 x 8 m for the Art Museum of Neuchâtel, In 1970 he has his first stay in Sweden, followed by a 1980 solo exhibition at the cultural Yverdon / Switzerland. From 1984 - 86 he has numerous commissions for public spaces.
